What is Snap Preview Anywhere? Snap Preview Anywhere enables anyone visiting your site to get a glimpse of what other sites you’re linking to, without having to leave your site. By rolling over any link, the user gets a visual preview of the site without having to go there, thus eliminating wasted “trips” to linked sites.

dhtmlxTabbar is a JavaScript tabbar control for creating dynamic tab-navigation interface. This control lets you add nice looking and powerful multiline* tab bar to your site or web application.
The control can be easily initialized on a web page that makes building of DHTML tabbed interface a breeze. Just assign any elements on your page (for example DIVs) to tabs of Tabbar, and it will automatically do all work for you - the component will switch these elements displaying them by clicking on corresponding tab (see sample code for easy and fast initialization at the bottom of this page).

Tabs can be left, right, top or button aligned. You can define tabs appearance according to different visual styles (predefined or your own). Cross-browser compatible, XML driven and fully configurable dhtmlxTabbar with rich javascript API provides a simple but powerful solution for building client-side navigation. ModalBox is a JavaScript technique for creating modern (Web 2.0-style) modal dialogues or even wizards (sequences of dialogues) without using conventional popups and page reloads. And yes, it may also be useful for showing bigger versions of images. :)

ModalBox is built with pure JavaScript and is based on Sam Stephenson’s excellent Prototype JavaScript Framework and valid XHTML/CSS. ModalBox uses AJAX to load content.

Zotero is an amazing firefox extention which does a lot of cool stuffs ( capture of citation information from web pages, Flexible notetaking, Storage of PDFs, files, images, links and much more.). Its a free, easy-to-use Firefox extension to help you collect, manage, and cite your research sources. It lives right where you do your work — in the web browser itself. The only drawback I see in it is, that it only supports Firefox 2.0 which is currently in Beta. Zotero is not compatible with earlier versions of Firefox.

Ever wanted to show a location on your blog post ? You can do that without linking to other map services with Geopress. GeoPress is a WordPress plugin that allows users to quickly and easily embed location information in blog posts. You can then embed a dynamic map, Microformat adr and geo output, and adds GeoRSS to the RSS output.

Kris Hadlock has written a well tutorial, How To Create an RSS Aggregator with PHP and AJAX on informit.com. Imagine using a simple HTML file to send a request to a server-side script, receive a custom XML file based on that request, and then display it to the user without ever refreshing the browser!
