Google adds Twitter option to its Google Friend Connect service. This means that when you join a Friend Connected site, you can choose to use your Twitter profile, discover people you follow on Twitter who are also members of the site, and quickly tweet that you have found a cool website.

To send a tweet about a site you have joined, click the invite link in the members gadget, then click the Twitter icon on the share tab. The next time your followers sign in to Twitter, they’ll see a your tweet containing a link to the interesting site you’ve found.

This integration with Twitter is an example of how we want to continue improving Friend Connect, extending the open social web and bringing social features to more places on the web.

Digsby is a proprietary multiprotocol instant messaging application developed by dotSyntax, LLC. Digsby is written in wxPython and uses Webkit for rendering. It currently supports e-mail notifications and alerts from MySpace, Facebook and Twitter.
It is released under a proprietary license and is currently free to download though the developers and software company are looking at various business models to earn revenue. It needs registration, which can be done through the program’s installer or through a web interface. Digsby currently supports only Windows, but has announced mac & Linux support.

Users did not want to lose their logs, and without a built in function to import their old logs, many decided to remain with their old chat client. With a Log Converter users can switch to Digsby without losing their chat history.

Perhaps I am getting addicted to twitterring.

12seconds.tv is twitter like service for posting a video of what you are currently doing. The website, can capture a 12 sec video through Adobe Flash (you need to allow it). Tag, name and mention the location of the video captured. You can record and share 12second updates with just about any mobile phone. mixin more a agenda/plan manager rather than mere posts of what you’re doing. Each scribble is about a plan with the time after an “@” sign. Which shows, when, what and where. It can also be further classified as “Plans”, “Would like to”, “is available”, “proposes”. It can can be updated by SMS, IM or Email. A time line of the plans is also shown on the top.

ididwork is a web-based service lets employees keep record of work they have completed. Employees can then submit a weekly or monthly report to their manager in the form of a chart, graph, or simple summary, and receive feedback through the system. It is designed to be useful solely from the employee’s perspective, letting them track their own progress and analyze trends over time. The service does not have to serve the enterprise, but rather can spread amongst individual users.

The idea seems simple but it tackles a big problem: it is difficult to judge productivity in big companies. In employee reviews managers often have very little idea of what an employee has done, which leads them to make judgments based on behavior that seems productive; like staying late everyday, or sending out company wide emails at three in morning. It also gives employees an idea of what their associates are working on with a news feed, eliminating the need for status meetings.
