eqo : Skype Instant Messaging and VoIP Calling on your Mobile Phone
eqo is an amazing application with which you can access skype even with your mobile phones. EQO application suite comprising of EQO Mobile and EQO PC. EQO Mobile is a J2ME application that runs on your mobile phone and EQO PC is a plugin which runs on your computer, connecting your Skypeâ„¢ user account to your mobile phone via a secure, always-on network. In order to extend your Skypeâ„¢ onto your mobile phone, you need to create an EQO account and install both of the applications.
With EQO installed, you can check your Skype buddy status in real-time on your mobile phone. You can then call or IM your Skype buddies or be reached by them even when you are not in front of your computer. EQO shows you who’s trying to call you so that you can screen incoming calls. EQO also allows you to talk to any long distance number at greatly discounted SkypeOut rates.
- If you’re away from your computer, SkypeIn calls are automatically presented to your mobile phone for screening, allowing you to choose which ones to take.
- You can chat with your Skypeâ„¢ buddies using IM Chat on your mobile phone.

Great initiative by eqo! But I did not quote get it , do we get charged for calling on skype via phones ?

Also , they say you need to have broadband . How are we supposed to have broadband on mobile phones ?

Shwimmer, I think you need to have broadband on your PC not phone. :/
