kajeet : Cell phones for kids , a revolution !
kajeet is, appropriately enough, an anagram of the first letters of the names of the company founders’ children. As per kajeet, Kids who use kajeet will enjoy a full range of features, while their parents will have access to services that enable them to stay connected with their kids on every imaginable level.
“kajeet” is, appropriately enough, an anagram of the first letters of the names of the company founders’ children. For all of us who work at kajeet, the name is a constant reminder that every day, in everything we do, we respect our customers as if they were our own kids. Plus, we just like the sound of it. “kajeet.â€
Headed by CEO Daniel Neal, a former VP and GM at USinternetworking as well as a Wharton MBA, Kajeet is still operating in what I would describe as moderate stealth mode. The world now knows that they exist and knows where they are focusing their attention but how they intend to serve that market and what they told the VC’s to generate what may be the biggest A-round of financing this year is a bit of a mystery.
What we do know is that Kajeet is in serious ramp up mode and that means they’re on a hiring mission. In speaking with company representatives over the past few days they repeatedly emphasized that this was the chance to “get in on the ground floor of the building…of a very big buildingâ€.
