Goobuntu : A step towards the Google OS ?
Google is preparing its own distribution of Linux for the desktop, in a possible bid to take on Microsoft in its core business - desktop software.
A version of the increasingly popular Ubuntu desktop Linux distribution, based on Debian and the Gnome desktop, it is known internally as ‘Goobuntu‘.
Google has confirmed it is working on a desktop linux project called Goobuntu, but declined to supply further details, including what the project is for.

Come on…
Anyone with a brain must have figured this out looong ago…
Or why else would they hold a summer-of-code competition and invite the rising powers of Linux code such as Ubuntu for Distro, GAIM for IM and so on…
They will not throw away money like that unless they meant something out of it ;)
Not to speak of Firefox… it will become Goofox :P
