Microsoft’s new beta web 2.0 service Fremont, on Live.com will be launching in the next few weeks. The final name is TDB, but the current project name is “Fremont” fremont.live.com .This product represents a unique offering by Microsoft to address the person-to-person marketplace. As per this post Fremont enhances your ability to :
- Connect with those you trust – your messenger buddies and your coworkers,
- Locate items in your neighborhood or across the country through integration with MapPoint and Windows Liveâ„¢ Local (formerly Virtual Earth),
- List easily, instantly, and for free.

Added mozilla browser Search Plugin to check Google PageRank. It adds up in the search bar in Firefox where you can search Google PageRank.

• Visit PageRank checker
• Click on the …install this plugin… and choose OK when prompted.
• Now, Enter the URL of website in the search field.
• Choose this “” image.
• Press Enter (Search) :)
• You get the Google PageRank of that website.

I wanted to post this from a while a forum post reminded me, I came to know about COPYSCAPE . With increasing theat of contents being copied espesially texts this is a very useful service, a very neat thing where you can search for any site that has copied your content. It can be searched page by page or whole site itself.
Also offers a
- Tag for webmasters for protection.
- Highlight option.

A nice 2 column theme with green shades, though most part is plain in this layout. This is most likely for the people who want a sweet and nice theme for the coming hoildays ;) . The one thing I added different is article like images for posts so that images would float one side by using class=”articleimg” .

Microsoft is getting prodcutive these days , with start of kahuna to ajax used live.com it is getting the touch of perfection. Competitors seriously need to look out especially I think Yahoo! as their work is not that impressive compared to Google and MSN, these days.

This new website offers the 3 in 1 feature, from the 3 popular site. Digg which offers news bookmarking , Del.icio.us which offers online bookmarking and Slashdot which is a very popular site which offers news can be now put up together.

Paint.NET , is a typical Java applet or application written in .NET managed code with mostly C# and some C++ . With around RAM usage - 60 MB , this GIMP alternative is fairly impressive.

Paint.NET loads much faster than GIMP or Photoshop , though it does not contain all the features of GIMP but it is fairly good application, the User Interface is inconsistent with the Windows desktop and feels alien to a Windows user. It offers an extremely intuitive and usable user interface with the transparent toolbars . It is currently maintained as an Open Source project by some of the WSU alumni who started the project and some of them joined Microsoft this year.
