How to get your Website Banned !
Few Simple ways you can get your website out of search engines
Do it yourself ! :
~ Invisible text
Never do this. As a general rule, search engines will penalise you for anything on your site that a normal human being can not see. If you do , it will only be a matter of time before the search engines find this and either penalise your site (drop it in rankings), or remove it altogether.
~ Misleading Contents
Misleading search engines to certain topic while it actually has nothing to do with it. Primarily gambling and adult site`s use this trick in order to get traffic. This tactic is easily spotable for search engines and they lead to banishment. No one likes to be made fool out of themselves , so do search engines !
~ Redirection
Redirection is descent usage for web pages and cms, but they can also be used to mislead search engines to believe that the specific web page is containing relevant keywords of certain topic.
~ Link Farms
Link farms are programs or communities where you join them and you all instantly link to each other.
~ Small images
A image that is so small you can’t see it. Originally used for statistics counters, this became a way for people to spam the search engines by creating hidden links that the human eye can’t see. As a result, you could be penalised for using them, even if your intentions are genuine.
~ Means of Submission
Many SEO services practice many indescent works inorder to get clients website on top , even if this works out, it would not take long for search engines to find this. Search Engine Optmization is a very easy work that usually can be done by anyone . Most SEO organization trick is that they have one or more high ranked website and they simply link clients website from there.
~ Duplicate Content
Though this connot be taken strictly as a means of banishment, it could have a few effects . Creating duplicate content is considered SPAM by everyone even search engines. The search engine bots usually do not crawl and list it in their results.
~ Alt Image spamming
Repeatation of words or using keywords unnecessarilly.Alt tag is meant to be a textual description of what the image reprsents, but excessive keywords is connsidered as SPAM by search engines. It should be meaningful and understandable.
~ Overstuffing Keywords
What they’re doing is trying to fill their webpage with as many keywords as possible to try and increase their chances of ranking higher for people looking for widgets.
Search engines have become quite clever in working out when a site is doing this on purpose and will often penalise them. Just make sure that your website wording sounds natural, and you should be fine.
~ Multiple Copies Of Similar Content
Search engines don’t like to see identical, or very similar, content on different websites or webpages. If you’ve got identical content on many different pages, or even on different websites, they’ll often see this as an attempt to get your content listed more than once. Again, they could penalise you for this.

Shared IP hosting and Downtime…
I dont agree with both.
If you are on shared IP and one of the site is banned on the same IP then there wont be any effect on your site because it does not belong to that person.
Blocking the site involves lot of things, it may inlude things like checking whois and getting the owner of the site etc….
So you need to correct your shared IP point..
2nd Downtime, if the site is down when google or any crawlers comes then there wont be any effect on it…
It will come again after some period of time, you certianly dont need to submit your site again…
Yes but if your site is down for period of say a week or more continuesly then google might not consider coming again but still there are chances remain that it may come again to crawl…
so your downtime point is also not correct.

Hi deep ,
well I think u`r shared IP point might be right , but the downtime may not be entirely wrong too as some hosts may be having downtime several times :) , if i`m not wrong.

Thanx for this nice piece of information. I knew most of them and some were new for me. Anyway, I will always avoid any of these methods to protect my site from getting banned from search engines.
